Hello everyone, I believe there are some information missing about the flagellant class. I believe they give a virtue bonus to their ally when they are rapturous has anyone noticed it too ? Last time I had 5 virtue tests (in the Mill) while having a rapturous flagellant and none of them ended up afflicted which is very unlikely to happen (about 0.03%). I will keep testing this on my side, but if anyone else could share some stats about it I would really appreciate.

Suggestion: Can we change the body font for the wiki stylesheet to Ubuntu? It's the font used in-game and is available on Google Fonts: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Ubuntu 0rffen (talk) 03:42, 13 October 2017 (UTC)

Hey guys, the chest (similar to Heirloom chest) in the Couryard is called Lost treasury chest but it doesn't work with the key. I think it's a new curio. Can someone update that please? It's called Lost treasury chest with a guaranteed trinket, I think. And there's also another curio called Wizened Shrew. I think it's the same as Hooded shrew. However, it should be included as well. Sunoflife (talk) 13:15, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

Where are you guys? I think a piece of information in the Courtyard section is incorrect. A week will still pass by even if you decide to retreat AS LONG AS YOU COMPLETE AT LEAST ONE BATTLE. I tested this but I still need confirmation. Can anyone help me out?

I think there is no exception, each run started in the courtyard will last a week, no matter how much (true) time you spend.--Liruox (talk) 05:47, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
Ok, then let's do some editing. Shall we? Sunoflife (talk) 05:59, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
There is anothers missing curios in fact (see https://darkestdungeon.gamepedia.com/Talk:Curio ), but I don't know how to extract totally curios image and data (and I'm a bit busy right now).

I need to do more run to have a better glimpse of the courtyard, I already wrote some advice, I would see the rest later. Try your best if you can. (we would have to move this talk in a new "talk:courtyard" page) --Liruox (talk) 08:44, 31 July 2017 (UTC)

Hey guys, the Ancestor's knapsack in the curios section has an incorrect description. Can someone fix it? I don't think that's right...

Hi guys, this pic shows the proof of my editing. Do you guys think I need to add a pic about this? http://imgur.com/a/UQJZA "On rare occasions, if the hero interacts with a curio and receives a quirk while already having it, the quirk will be reinforced and become permanent, even when the hero already has three locked quirks. This allows the hero to bypass the limits and have more than 3 permanent positive quirks. For example, the Ruins Tactician quirk may be reinforced upon interacting with the curio Suit of Armor."

Well that's odd. I wonder if it's intentional or a glitch? But if you want to add it you can, so long as it doesn't get in the way too much. GentleIceZ (talk) 13:16, 18 February 2017 (UTC)

I don't know. But I do know that if a hero has 5 locked positive quirks (through means of cheating), when he/she receives one more, the game will crash.

Hi, this pic shows the new collectible. Can someone add this to the data of the page? So rare... http://imgur.com/a/MvAcS Sunoflife (talk) 21:48, 16 February 2017 (UTC)

Did you talk about this ? http://darkestdungeon.gamepedia.com/Items (second line, on the right). Is that an exclusive item that you can have in Radiant mode ? Did someone had this during a normal/stygian run ? --Liruox (talk) 09:23, 17 February 2017 (UTC)

I found it in Normal Mode. Sunoflife (talk) 14:13, 17 February 2017 (UTC)

Hi. I don't think Gargoyle is a shared enemy. I've only encountered it in the Ruins. Can anyone confirm and correct it? Sunoflife (talk) 14:57, 16 February 2017 (UTC)

I moved it to shared because I've seen it in other areas before. I've finally gotten to veteran in my new file, so I'll go through non-ruin areas today and post a screen shot if I find one. If I can't I'll move it back to the ruins tomorrow. GentleIceZ (talk) 18:12, 16 February 2017 (UTC)
I seen two gargoyle (with a Ghoul) in the weald today. However, I'm pretty sure that there is no Gargoyle in the Warrens and Cove areas. They act like bodyguard for Ghouls, but Ghouls spawn only with some sea maggots in the Cove (or few another eldritch monsters), and they like to spawn with Wretch and Carrion eater (one or the other) in the warrens. Should we remove the shared type ? --Liruox (talk) 05:34, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
From what I can tell it's just that party that is outside the Ruins. I've seen it in the Warrens, too. I did try to put them into the Ruins again, but someone put them back into shared enemies. It's probably best that if you do put them back to add a note saying something like "they can be found very rarely outside the Ruins alongside Ghouls." GentleIceZ (talk) 14:36, 23 February 2017 (UTC)

Ok, I checked that page, it's nothing related to the content of my page. Do you guys want to merge the two pages or can you guys mention my page in the main page too? Either way is fine for me. I just want my page to be sticked up on the main page. Sunoflife (talk) 23:41, 6 November 2016 (UTC) I feel like the wiki could really use a glossary of terms and acronyms. For example, I couldn't find out anywhere what "DOT" means. I figure it probably means something like "damage over time" but I don't think I've seen it explained anywhere - 23:59, 25 October 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for pointing that out. A glossary has now been added. You can search of it or find it under "Handy Wiki Game Pages" under "Miscellaneous" on the main page. GentleIceZ (talk) 18:09, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

This wiki is really sparse. I wish we had more info about actual game mechanics formulas. Eg, what is the formula for damage hit chance, how exactly does armor affect damage taken, what are the actual effects of the different named afflictions / (and w/e the opposite of an affliction is called). What is the scouting formula, how is the 'suprise' check calculated, etc etc etc.

Do we really need a Shambler image on a main page? Granted, he looks cool and all, but he was always ment to be a surprise boss, having him here fills like a big spoiler. JustShadowll (talk) 12:09, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

Hm. This wiki doesn't really have any spoiler policy due to how next to everything would classify as spoiler. The image of the shambler isn't really a spoiler though, as if you have never met it so far you won't be any wiser after looking at its picture either.
Plus the dude is pretty photogenic so it would be a shame to not have him as examplary monster, don't you agree? :P
Dooomspeaker (talk) 15:15, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
He does have a point though: we could put anything but the Shambler and fit the same purpose without potentially ruining a part of the game to anyone. We could put something like the Hag there, or even a transformed Abomination. --itaShadd (talk) 15:33, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
I think today's release will have plenty of photogenic eldritch cuties. While by itself image doesn't spoil anything, it can change one's reaction to the first encounter with him from "WTF is this, I had no idea it even existed!" to "meh, seen this guy already". While I'm obviously exaggerating, better be safe that sorry.
JustShadowll (talk) 17:24, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
Alright, we'll pick one after today. Dooomspeaker (talk) 19:14, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
I put a nice gargoyle there, after cleaning up the image from the fx and mirroring it. Let me know if you don't like it. --itaShadd (talk) 20:32, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

Continuing yesterday's discussion, I think our wiki needs a spoiler tag or at least some kind of warning. The Darkest Dungeon is too awesome to explore for the first time to accidentally spoil it. JustShadowll (talk) 12:22, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

Also, i think we sould made one megapage for everything in the Darkest Dungeon itself. There's not much content and it's pretty much unique to that location. JustShadowll (talk) 14:45, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
A wiki is a knowledge base, it's generally a given that it's going to contain spoilers if you visit a page about things you prefer to discover yourself... :P As for the Darkest Dungeon, feel free to start the Darkest Dungeon (location) page yourself, you can pick another location such as the Weald as a model. --itaShadd (talk) 15:21, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
Obviously wiki does contains spoilers for those who want them, but I'm talking about people who dont want to spoil major part of the game for them self but accidentally do so by stumbling upon the enemy table or list of bosses, if we are to categories thing as we did before. While its not totally necessary, we can help it by putting all the things relating to the Darkest Dungeon into one page or category with a huge spoiler tag. It will make things less encyclopedic but more user friendly, I think it's a good thing. I will resume editing wiki closer to the weekend, when I'm done with the final boss. JustShadowll (talk) 16:18, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
Other pages should not contain too much info about specific things - in other words, info about the darkest dungeon will be inside the Darkest Dungeon (location) page and shouldn't be anywhere else. What we can certainly do is make a template to warn the users about potential spoilers. I'll make one right away, you'll be able to use it with
{{spoiler|topicofthespoiler}}
, such as
{{spoiler|Darkest Dungeon}}
will warn the user that the page or section may contain spoilers about the Darkest Dungeon. --itaShadd (talk) 17:33, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

Can someone look into the custom cursor the wiki uses? It makes it really hard to click on some things since it seems the 'point' of the cursor and the graphic don't match up, for example i keep getting sent to the main page when i try and click on the search box since the cursor registers as clicking the main banner at the top. --MLegion (talk) 18:15, 7 November 2016 (UTC)

Actually it appears the Main banner extends down overlapping the search box --MLegion (talk) 20:41, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
Hello people it's 178.235.161.56 here. Just informing I have created a new page Pause Menu it's very stub and I wish people to help me upload photos of pause menu, just because only logged in users can upload them.

178.235.161.56:How to remove pages on wiki?

You need to be an admin. Feel free to flag a page you think needs to be deleted or just tell me if I've missed something. Also, on talk pages you should end your comments with four ~ so we can see who said what and when, like so: GentleIceZ (talk) 14:28, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
178.235.161.56:Yes, understood I would like to flag Journal Pages as it was made by me when another page about the same topic was created, now it's pointless.
Okay. Just tell me the other page so I can look it over and decide for myself (there also might be information I want to move over before deleting it.) GentleIceZ (talk) 04:05, 2 August 2017 (UTC)

Hi people it's 178 here.I'm just informing that Viscount attack "Served Rare" is quite incompleted as it does not show on wiki the chance to inflict Crimson Curse and I do not have Game Maker to check that myself.I think that Countess probably has the same thing.

Hi 178. In the latest build, they decide to remove every probability to be affected to the curse http://steamcommunity.com/games/262060/announcements/detail/1428055053653232004 :
  • "Courtyard bosses no longer give the curse since they're going to wipe it anyway if/when you beat them." --Liruox (talk) 20:32, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
  • Thank you.

178:Does user page mean it's a wiki space for making an article about a user?

Hey I have an idea: Maybe we check the game files to see the highest chances for each hero to get different Affliction or a Virtue and we add it to the wiki.

The Musketeer graphic links to the Shieldbreaker. The link on the text is correct though. I don't have editing permission but someone who does can easily fix it. 68.21.144.204 01:07, 27 June 2018 (UTC)

There is no character comic for Musketeer here. It can be found here: https://www.darkestdungeon.com/darkest-dungeon-presents-the-musketeer/ --Miteusz0 (talk) 22:46, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

List of quests / missions / expeditions

It is surprising how there is no list of quests/missions/expeditions on this wiki even though the game has been out for 3.5 years. 27.104.224.232 17:36, 27 August 2019 (UTC)

Butcher's Circus

So the new game mode and DLC came out last month. Various skills behave differently, some characters have entirely new skills, and there's a collection of new trinkets to be earned. Also the PVP element means an entirely different tactical angle. There's a lot to be documented. Where shall we start? --Trebuchetms (talk) 03:14, 29 June 2020 (UTC)

I'm not a big fan of the DLC, but we could incorporate some outside opinions. The Man-at-Arms has been very popular as he is capable of Riposte and Stress damage. As well, we could incorporate information from YouTubers that play the DLC. The entire circus seems hard to document, since it doesn't really seem significant to the main campaign. Hidden Squidz Gaming on YouTube put out this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fItJiucvBDc) which I think is pretty good. Uncutconglomerate (talk) 07:20, 30 June 2020 (UTC)

I've found the Butcher's Circus pages and have been documenting my observations and tips. I've even created a navigation template - however, I've noticed that trying to fit the Navigation template onto the bottom of the character page has it fill in the final cell of the Trinket table instead of spawning at the very bottom of the page.

May I also suggest we split the Ringmaster Trinkets away from the main Trinkets page? The Ringmaster list is very long and splitting would make the Trinkets page a lot less cumbersome. --Trebuchetms (talk) 03:09, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
