Lairs are unique nodes in Darkest Dungeon II. Each Lair contains three waves of battles culminating in a boss fight. The player can choose to leave a Lair after defeating one of the regular enemy groups, or press on to confront the boss and obtain valuable rewards. It is required that the player has a Trophy from any of the Lair bosses equipped in order to gain access to The Mountain.
