Drowned Thralls are enemies found in the Cove, and are bloated, animated corpses of those lost at sea. These lumbering zombies may lack the protection of other abominations, but they are resilient enough to endure a good deal of punishment. Their bloated bodies are rather unstable, though, and if not dispatched quickly, the Thralls explode in a shower of gore, delivering grievous injury to the party in a frightening fashion.

Behavior

The Drowned Thrall is an Eldritch/Unholy type that appears in the Cove. The Thrall will use both of its abilities in a row. The first time it acts, it will use Gargling Grab, which does respectable damage and inflicts stress. The second time it acts, it will use The Revenge, self-destructing and dealing massive damage to your entire team. The Revenge is one of the most devastating abilities in the game, mirroring the Brigand Pounder's BOOM! ability in the severity of its damage and stress - always kill the Thrall first (or at least stunlock it while you deal with other opponents), or risk a party wipe.

Killing the Thrall is not usually a problem, but be especially mindful of parties containing both a Thrall and a Pelagic Guardian. If the Pelagic Guardian uses Barnacle Barrier on the Thrall, you may not be able to kill him before he explodes! One tactic is to make sure that you bring at least one stun (or a Shieldbreaker with Puncture) to the Cove so that you can break the Guard.
