Mysterious, elegant, ethereal, and even hauntingly beautiful, the Deep Stinger is a giant jellyfish-like creature that, like their marine cousins, gracefully floats through the salty air of the Cove. When they encounter prey, they attack and immobilize them with their paralyzing and disease-ridden stingers. Once rendered unable to flee or fight back, they then latch onto their prey and feast on their blood.

Behavior

The Deep Stinger is an Eldritch-type enemy that is only found in the Cove and usually occupies the back ranks. On its first turn it will usually use Shocker to Stun a hero and apply a debuff that increases the likelihood of inflicting bleed with their other ability, Salty Gouge, or from other enemies that may be accompanying it.

On its own, it is not particularly dangerous or difficult to kill as it has fairly low HP, no protection and its attacks don't do much direct damage. However, because of the status effects and possible diseases it can apply, it should not be underestimated. Unless there are other, higher priority targets, try to take these creatures out as quickly as possible.
