The Duelist is a hero in Darkest Dungeon II exclusive to The Binding Blade DLC.
Duelist functions as a glass cannon hero, sporting low health but best-in-class mobility and the ability to put out rather hefty damage, most immediately comparable to a hero like Grave Robber, Jester, or the Shieldbreaker from Darkest Dungeon 1. Due to many of her skills moving her forward or backwards throughout the ranks, Duelist can reposition herself with ease, making her incredibly difficult if not outright impossible to shuffle out of position. As a counterbalance to her various strengths and flexibility, Duelist has to manage a unique Stance system that plays into nearly every aspect of her character, with nearly all of her moves gaining new effects based on the stance she's in or requiring her to have a specific stance to use them. Additionally, Duelist has among the lowest health in the game and has very little ways to defend herself outside of Dodge, often relying on her teammates to protect her via Guard, Taunt, or heals. Duelists excellent mobility can also occasionally cause teammates to be pushed out of position, and often requires teams to be built with her mobility in mind

Unique Attributes
Stances
Duelist comes with her own unique system in the form of her Stances, Aggressive Stance and Defensive Stance. Duelists stances affect every part of her moveset, with most of her skills either gaining different effects when used during either stance, or requiring she be in a stance to be used at all. All of Duelists paths have different passives for each stance which provide various buffs to the character in the form of extra survivability, damage, or disruption ability
Skills and Paths
The Duelist starts the game with Touché, Feint, Disengage, Flick, and Preparation. Additional skills must be unlocked through the Shrine of Reflection.
Stance passives enhance survivability via Riposte.
Default skills. Rewards candles upon reaching the second inn.
