Implication is an elite Pillager enemy in Darkest Dungeon II.
Description
Implication is a slow, massive cannon capable of dealing large amounts of damage to the entire party. Its offensive power is somewhat mitigated by the fact that it must reload between each shot, giving Heroes time to prepare—and that it often misses its shots. Defensively, not only does Implication have a high health pool and practical immunity to Damage over Time effects, but it also regularly generates Block+ tokens that greatly reduce the effectiveness of direct attacks.
Strategy
It is prudent to kill Implication's allies first, for the following reasons:
- DoT immunity and regenerating Block+ tokens make Implication difficult to kill relative to its allies.
- Implication's attacks will hit more heroes the further back it is in the enemy formation; thus eliminating its allies will also greatly reduce its own offensive power. Alternatively, pushing its allies back or pulling Implication forward can also work.
Once its allies are dealt with, Implication should fall easily to the party's concentrated attacks.

Trivia
- Implication's appearance and behaviour resemble the Brigand Pounder boss from the first game, and its name is a reference to the Ancestor's description of the Brigand Pounder as a "war machine of terrible implication".
- Cannons resembling Implication may be seen in the background whilst traveling through The Tangle, suggesting that soldiers of Lost Battalion once used similar weapons.
